Adding some upgrades to the BMW M8! The newest Shmeemobile has completed the running in process so it's a visit to M Town to carry out the inspection service and install some new M Performance Parts. With a range of carbon fibre pieces, the car is looking fantastic and also now ready and raring to go!
After collecting the BMW M8 Competition Coupe from the home of BMW M in M Town, Munich, Germany, just a few weeks ago, the first part of the process has always been to carefully drive the 2,000kms required for the breaking in process at minimal revs and low speed. That is now complete which means the car gets an oil change and is now fully unlocked and ready to be driven properly going forwards, however this is also the perfect opportunity to return to M Town and simultaneously install the M Performance Parts that had previously been mentioned.
In particular the upgrades for the car come in the form of the carbon fibre kidney grille, carbon side skirts, 3-piece extended carbon engine bay covers, key case, carbon steering wheel fascia, carbon shift paddles, floor mats and M car cover. Also available are even further options including M Performance wheels for example but I decided to keep the originals as I think they suit the look in Oxford Green with Silverstone very well; smart and elegant overall with this spec.
After dropping the car off for the service and parts to be installed, I'm off in an X3 M40i for a few things before coming back to reveal the new look and take it on out for a short drive. The real fun is going to follow soon with the Autobahns waiting to be explored!
We've also added new posters to the Shmee150 Shop including the M8 Competition which you can find here: shopshmee150.com/collections/posters/products/m8-competition-poster
